Half way through the week already, it’s Womanly Wednesdays!
Hope everyone is having a good week so far. I’m excited about today’s post, as I talk about some Etude House lip products that I recently bought! I got two completely different lippies so keep reading if you want to see my review.
First off, excuse the messy box on the right. For some reason, they thought it would be a good idea to put the sticker on the actual front where the title is at. Anyway, as you can see, I got the Sweet Recipe Dear My Jelly Lips Talk and the Rosy Tint Lips.
I love Korean packaging, it’s always so nice and pretty! For reference, I got shades 004 Grapefruit Orange in the jelly lips and #8 After Blossom in the rosy tint.
Note: I didn’t take a pic of the rosy tint because it’s just a sponge tip. You can see pics of it if you plan to buy it or if you Google it.
The design on the jelly lipstick is so nice! And the color is really beautiful. It looks nude on my lips, but as you can see from the swatches below, the lipstick is pretty sheer.
The jelly lipstick has a bit of a fruity scent/taste to it. Even though it is clearly a lipstick, it feels like a gloss. It glides on smoothly and feels super moisturizing too. The only complaint I have is that the formula seems to be a very weak consistency. After only a few uses, I got this issue.
Now I’m not entirely sure if this happened because of heat or what, but I actually took really good care of the lipstick and never left it anywhere where it could melt like this. Has anyone else had this issue? If so, let me know in the comments or tell me how yours came to be this way. This was super disappointing to be honest.
The rosy tint however, is a win in my opinion. The color is opaque and long lasting! I accidentally squeezed out too much (it’s a sponge tip so you have to squeeze the product out like a liquid lipstick) but it ended up looking REALLY good. I was with a friend when this happened and they said that it looked like a bold lip.
I can see this being my go-to look for the fall! It’s not over-drying and it does have a velvety finish. That being said, you do have to apply a lot of pressure to squeeze the product out. I don’t know if it’s the tube itself or what, but I had to squeeze pretty hard to get it to come out. Just giving you a fair warning.
In the end, I recommend the rosy tint lips wholeheartedly. The jelly lips I’m on the fence about. It was so nice but then that weird thing had to happen. You can buy these products on Amazon by the way!
