Happy Saturday everyone! Hope you all are having a good weekend so far because I sure am!
This week’s Suggestion Saturday will be about two personal favorite K-Dramas of mine. I call today’s post K-Drama: The Noona Edition.
I have been watching Korean Dramas for as long as I can remember so I’ve seen all the “classics” among others. Noona is basically a Korean term that defines an older woman for a man. You will be familiar with it if you watch as many dramas as I do.
I’m calling this the Noona edition because my two suggestions are actually centered around female leads who are older than the male romantic interests.
The Woman Who Still Wants To Marry. I started this drama for Kim Bum and ended up liking it for other reasons as well. The three female friends in this drama are hilarious! Their friendship is so much fun to follow along to and it really gets you in the feels when you see their deep interactions. It reminds me of me and my friends sometimes.
The female lead is 34 and the male romantic interest (who’s a total dish by the way) is 24. So of course, this causes a lot of drama because the female lead is not about that life. It honestly has a really interesting story as you get further along and some moments make you go “oh my God!” so it’s just a really good drama to watch if you’re in the mood for a rom-com.
Flower Boy Ramen Shop. This drama is so good! Again, I started it for a certain actor (Jung Il Woo) but ended up liking it for many reasons. The female lead is in her mid-20s and the male romantic interest is a high school senior. Yup. So of course, lots of drama! Also, the romantic interest is an arrogant heir. Always adds a bit more drama into the mix that way. The two characters are just so different but they work well together and it makes the story line that much more enticing as you watch it grow.
The side characters in this drama are also really good looking and you can’t complain about extra eye candy.
Just trust me on this and gives these dramas a chance if you haven’t already! I don’t want to give too much away, so I’ll leave it at that.
