Trying Nad’s Facial Wax

Hey guys! I’m here with my beauty post for the day, this time it’s about waxing. I don’t think I’ve done a face wax before this, at least not that I can remember so this review is a first-hand experience.

The product is Nad’s Facial Wax Strips which claim to be great for sensitive and delicate areas. I purchased mine at Walgreens.

The instructions on the package are easy and simple to follow which is a plus and it even gives you a few tips on what to do and where to use the strips. I only used these for my upper lip and chin area.

This is what all the contents look like, as you can see from the pic it includes some post wax calming wipes that have oil. I ended up using these as the wax does leave some residue and this helps to take it off.

So my experience with these is that they kind of hurt. A lot. But I must also remind you that this is pretty much my first time waxing my face so maybe it’s just that I wasn’t prepared for it. Either way, my face was pretty red after waxing and I was afraid that I might have irritated my skin. Luckily, that didn’t happen and my face had calmed down later.

I will say that after waxing, I did notice it took off a lot of little hairs. So these strips do their job well, maybe just too well for my tastes. I didn’t do too much waxing in the end because I didn’t want to irritate my skin. I used the calming wipes and they helped, but I had to wash the excess oil off because it was just too much.

This is what the strips look like by the way, it comes two in one, you just peel them apart.

Would I recommend this to a friend? Maybe.

I say maybe because I’m not sure this is for everyone. I feel like I would be better off with the removal cream as that has worked for me in the past. This was just a bit too painful for me and I almost felt like I was purposefully irritating my skin. If you would like to consider this product, you can find it at Walgreens.
