Hello everyone! I’m pretty excited for today’s beauty review as it is about another sheet mask! I swear, I could start up my own humongous collection of face masks, I’m that addicted.
Sticking to the Yes To brand that everyone knows and loves, I’m trying the acne fighting mask this time around. This is something I need in my life as I struggle with my oily and acne prone skin.
And I know you can see a green mask peeking out from behind the red, I’m saving that review for another time so be sure to stay tuned.
I love the simplicity of the packaging and how they all seem to be color coded to whatever is the main component.
I find it funny how when I use this mask, it doesn’t smell like tomatoes, it smells like a spa day. I ain’t complaining either. So the tomato and salicylic acid is what makes this mask good for helping to clear acne and according to the description; to prevent new pimples from forming as well.
The usual goes, slap this on for ten minutes or more and just relax. Let the serum soak in and do its work.
It’s pretty much similar to the charcoal one I used in last week’s review, only this one isn’t all black. Or all red for that matter, that would have been cool. I left it on for about 15 minutes and then took it off. I rinsed a bit of the excess serum off because it did have quite a lot.
So here’s my pros and cons. It definitely left a nice cooling and tingling sensation and my face did look better for wear. However, the acne fighting bit was not as great as I expected. I will say that it did reduce inflammation but it did nothing to actually clear my skin. I woke up the next day and my spots were still there, they didn’t even look reduced.
I would have to say that this mask is to be used in conjunction with other acne fighting products for full effect. On its own, it’s not very good. I’m being quite harsh with my review because I have used Korean sheet masks in the past that have actually cleared my skin.
In the end, I personally wouldn’t recommend this mask unless you have minor spots. My favorite mask from Yes To is still the charcoal one so definitely go for that one.
